Back in 2014, when GOSC was literally Gnome, JC and a rented art space, we needed some help. 

Making surfboards for such a polished, technically-sound surfer like JC was one thing, we also needed something for the common man. We needed a weekend-warrior who could connect with the masses… enter Cam Haylock.

JC called Cam, put the wheels in motion, and GOSC had its second official team rider. Cam was (at the time) the polar opposite to JC. Cam brought with him a knowledge and insight of alternative craft that was in line with what Gnome initially wanted to bring with him from Byron Bay. JC had the high-performance shred boards covered, but once Gnome and Cam hit it off, noses got a little wider and rails got a little more boxy. Cam was a recent returnee from Noosa and was keen to develop a super-short twin keel fish. The rest, as they say, is history.
